The Indy Crit Bicycle Parade is a new twist on an American tradition. It is a large-scale bicycle parade starting at University Park, proceeding down Meridian Street, and ending just past the Indy Crit Start/Finish line on Monument Circle. The Parade involves every type of bicyclist in the city, from urban, fixed-gear riders to the lycra-clad roadies.
It is a celebration of all things bicycle!
The Bicycle Parade will feature:
Elaborately decorated micro-floats pulled by bicycles
Musicians on bicycles, including the Pork and Beans Brass Band
Polka band on tandems
Antique and vintage bicycles
Bike polo players
Local cycling teams presentation before the Pro race
Bikes decorated in lights for riders participating in the N.I.T.E. Ride later that evening!
